MALE MENOPAUSE: HOW TO SURVIVE – BE REALISTIC
If before the male-menopause you were coasting along comfortably with life looking good and now, at this moment, the future looks bleak, by all means mourn the passing of the good old days — but look towards the future. Do not cling to the past and think only of past glories, nothing you can do will put the clock back. Move forward, capitalize on the past, on what you have already achieved and enjoyed, and plan the changes you feel you need.
Of course making changes is not easy, most aims and dreams are out of reach. In order to start the conditions have to be right, money has to be readily at hand and innumerable family and home conditions have to be resolved simply. Only you know what it is that can add the extra fillip to your life but be realistic in terms of what it is you want. Whatever the changes, whether they are major (like changing your profession), comparatively minor (like keeping up with the boys) or flippant (like having an affair with a neighbour’s wife), make sure you know the risks involved and that:
a. the opportunity for success exists;
b. what you are aiming for really is within your grasp;
c. the change you want is reasonable and not based on either wishful
thinking or flight of fantasy.
Remember too that you will not change overnight and that basically you will always remain the same person. To create a total new way of life, if that is what you want, is rarely possible.
